  • This research identifies the level of misallocation in Vietnamese manufacturing sector for the period 2000–2015. Meltiz and Polanec dynamic productivity decomposition is used to compare the relative productivity contributions from surviving, entering and exiting firms to aggregate productivity change by the type of ownership. Heckman's two-step model is used to examine the effect of misallocation and industry- and firm-level factors on entry or exit decision and market share of firms in Vietnamese manufacturing sector.

  • In the early 10th century, Vietnam gained independence after nearly 1.000 years under the rules of the Chinese dynasties. At the beginning of the administrative reconstruction, the dress of the mandarin class, although newly regulated, was deeply influenced by the acculturation process from China. Studying the changing process of the imperial court dress in Vietnam throughout history will contribute to raising awareness of the Vietnamese’s traditional cultural values.   • Household health expenditure is important in shaping human capital for de veloping countries, including Vietnam. This study aims to examine the factors affec ting household health expenditure in Vietnam. The study used a combination of desc riptive and multivariate regression analysis based on the Vietnam Household Living Standards Survey (VHLSS) 2016. As a result of the regression analysis, demographic factors such as gender, ethnicity, age, education level, and region are the most impor tant determinants of healthcare spending in Vietnam.
