This study examines syntactic errors in opinion paragraphs produced by first-year
English-major students at Thang Long University, with the dual purpose of identifying
the most frequent error types and assessing their awareness of those errors. The
methodology combined an analysis of student-written opinion paragraph samples with
a structured questionnaire administered to the same group, with a small percentage of
variables due to unavoidable circumstances.
