This study
investigates the challenges faced by third and fourth year English language majors at
Thang Long University in English-Vietnamese consecutive interpreting. Interpreting is
inherently complex, requiring not only bilingual proficiency but also high levels of
cognitive, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Through quantitative and qualitative
research designs, questionnaire and semi-structured interviews were conducted with
selected students to explore the difficulties they encounter, their causes, and coping
strategies.
