dc.description.abstractWith the similarities in history, culture, relationships, Vietnam and South Korea has many developments in all fields. As former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai said, "Korea is a very important partner and is a good model for Vietnam to expand cooperation and exchange of experience in the development of the country". This paper will analyze the overall relationship between Vietnam and South Korea from 1992 to 2013. In addition to the development of cultural exchanges, education and marriage, free trade agreements between South Korea and the ASEAN countries, the increase in direct investment from Korea to Vietnam brought economic relations between the two countries flourished and promising future. However, in the position of a developing country, Vietnam has many challenges, difficulties, and limitations. Therefore, this study may provide some solutions to help further promote economic relations as well as comprehensive relations between Vietnam and South Koreavi_VN
