dc.description.abstractThe present action research aims at helping second-year English-majored students at Thang Long University (TLU) improve their listening comprehension ability. Therefore, it is an attempt to investigate the effects of dictogloss, a new technique to teach listening, on the students’ listening comprehension. The thesis reports the characteristics of dictogloss activity, how the participants’ comprehension is impacted through the mplementation of the tasks and the students’ responses when facing dictogloss tasks. The study was conducted in Thang Long University, with 48 students in their semester 5, who were exposed to dictogloss tasks in 10 weeks. Data were collected through pre-, middle- and post-test, students’ reconstruction notes and questionnaire. The analysis of the data reveals that dictogloss tasks help improve the participants’ listening comprehension and that the students hold positive attitudes towards listening learning with dictogloss activityvi_VN
